There are a variety of sight-seeing options around the Mansion depending on what your choices are. The most fancied by the guests are the Athangudi man made tile industry, Chettinad cotton and fabric weaving centre, the handicraft centres (depending on season) antique shopping, visiting the local daily markets, Pillayarpatti ( Pilliarpatti) temple, Thirumayam fort and checking out diamond displays by traders in Karaikudi.
If time permits, you can do a day trip to the World famous Rameswaram temple (two and half hours drive). Resort approved guides are available on prior request.
